Introduction, welcome and your intention
Hey there SOSer!
Social media … the beast you need to tame. Do you have a love-hate relationship with the socials? Don’t worry, you are in the right place and we are going to tame the social beast together!
As a small business owner – whether you are just starting out or you’re a seasoned professional – these tips and templates in the Social Media SOS content writing challenge are going to help you engage, re-engage or keep engaging your audience!
We get inundated with so much info about online marketing and social media – that’s one of the biggest problems people have – and that can leave us feeling confused and overwhelmed.
This challenge is designed to be FUN and with as little work as possible.
So please keep that in mind when you are doing the exercises.
I have tried to make it as easy as possible for you to write with scripts and templates.
DAY 1 – what you need to know…
There will be a little bit of FUN WORK today on Day 1 … I suggest you set aside 15-30 mins for your Social Content Plan and to write your Monday post, and share into groups and other platforms.
The following days it will take less time because you’ve already done the plan.
RIGHT NOW… Set your intention
Right now, I want you to take a piece of paper and write down what your goal and intention is for this challenge.
Then I would love you to go and share it in the Facebook group – and if you would love to share it out to the wider community, and in your groups and on your social media platforms, please feel free!
The more people who know how to harness the power of social media, the better it will be for you, your business, the community and the planet all ’round!
Engagement is the key
It can be super hard to get engagement, leads and opportunities from social media, but it happens every day for me, my clients and others all over the globe. So it’s not a big ol’ myth. It can work.
I’m going to give you every trick I have in these next 5 days to help you get ENGAGEMENT and whatever else is possible.
That is the sole reason we created this free 5-day Social Media SOS content writing challenge. I keep getting asked so many questions about social media because there is a huge push around it at the moment and everyone wants to know how to write to get a result (that is, engagement and interaction. Mostly what people say to me is, how do I get more clients or sales from social media?).
That starts with you being on social regularly (every day) and posting content that your people want – and commenting on yours and other people’s posts!
All I can say is:
- Please be open to trying something new.
- Stay committed EVERY DAY.
- If you get stuck, ask the question in the Facebook group and my team and I will answer it!
- Be on the LIVE calls every day for more info and explanations.
- JUST DO IT!!
If you don’t get the results you want in this next 5 days, tweak your content and retry it. Don’t give up!
Remember, social is a beast we need to tame and I’m certain beast tamers never give up!

Social Media SOS Checklist
Use this checklist every time you post! It is also a downloadable below.
- Be excited
- Be social …. No selling!
- Keep a positive mind frame about your social media always (it will work!).
“I am a student always!”
- Post every day – you won’t be annoying
- Communicate with people – reply to their comments and shares
- Send the love around – Follow your clients and like and comment on their posts.
- Share their content – tag them in posts.
- Promote your content out to the wider community in groups and also on
your other platforms if you have them – change it somewhat when you repost it.
- Ask your audience to share your posts.
- Watch what others are doing.
- Follow an influencer.
- Have fun!
- Be on social to be strategic / not just to lose yourself in 5 hours on Facebook
- Get in, get out! Be quick.
- Follow the basic rules of being kind, taking care of each other, being generous, sharing value – then you will stand out, generate more leads and reap the rewards

Your writing structure for Monday’s post
Here is your structure for your Day 1 social media post. Your tone will change depending on what platform you are posting to. LinkedIn will need to be a little more professional than Facebook, which is a little more casual.

MONDAY: Who you are, what you do, why you love it + 3 things you can share about yourself that will connect with people? Three things you love. Ask your audience to engage with you, tell me something about yourself.

POST IT on your business page (on whatever platform you choose, use hashtags if you need to) as soon as you have finished it! Don’t wait!
